Akhilesh Kumar Dixit Appointed New CEO of Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) – Know More About Him

New Delhi: Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture of Public Sector Undertakings under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has announced the appointment of Mr Akhilesh Kumar Dixit as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective June 16, 2025.

Mr Dixit joins EESL from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), where he held multiple senior leadership positions, contributing significantly to the power sector.

Extensive Experience in the Power Sector

With over 32 years of diverse experience in the power industry, Mr Dixit brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. A graduate in Electrical Engineering from Madan Mohan Technical University, Gorakhpur, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the renowned Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, Mr Dixit has built a distinguished career marked by leadership across key domains such as substation and transmission line operations, business development, corporate social responsibility, human resources, and procurement.

His tenure at PGCIL saw him manage complex projects with multidisciplinary and international teams, strengthening his capability to deliver high-impact outcomes. His strategic vision and operational expertise are expected to bolster EESL’s mission to accelerate energy efficiency initiatives across India.

On his appointment, Mr Dixit expressed his enthusiasm for leading EESL at a pivotal time for India’s energy landscape. “It is an honor to lead EESL at a time when energy efficiency is at the core of India’s sustainable development goals,” he said. “I look forward to building on EESL’s strong legacy while charting a bold path forward – one that integrates smart technologies, fosters inclusive growth, and delivers measurable impact for our nation.”

As CEO, Mr Dixit will focus on transforming EESL into a next-generation energy solutions provider. His leadership is set to drive innovation, promote the adoption of sustainable technologies, and strengthen India’s commitment to energy efficiency and environmental stewardship.
