In a major crackdown on drug traffickers, the Amritsar district administration demolished the house of notorious drug smuggler Ajay Kumar Billi. This action is part of the anti-drug campaign led by Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann.

Police Commissioner Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar (2004-batch IPS officer), who supervised the demolition, issued a stern warning to individuals involved in illegal activities, stating that strict action will be taken against them. He noted that five cases, including one under the NDPS Act, have been registered against Ajay Kumar Billi in different police stations.
Mr. Bhullar emphasized that the administration will continue to crack down on drug traffickers until they either reform or leave Punjab. He reiterated the government’s commitment to protecting the youth from the dangers of drug abuse.
The demolition was executed using a JCB machine and laborers, with senior officials, including DCP Mr. Alam Vijay Singh and ADCP Mr. Vishaljit Singh, present at the site.
This action demonstrates the Punjab government’s commitment to eradicating drug trafficking and ensuring a safer environment for its citizens. The bold move underscores the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards drug-related crimes and its determination to eliminate the drug menace from the state.
