The Government of Andhra Pradesh issued a circular mandating the transfer and posting of as many as 28 IPS officers and two non-cadre Superintendents of Police (SPs) on January 29.
The names of the reshuffled police officers are Vishal Gunni (IPS), who served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) at Vijayawada, getting transferred as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Vishakapatnam.
IPS Atul Singh, who served as the Chairman of the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), shall assume office as the Additional Director General (ADG) at the Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP).
Inspector General (IG) at Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Ch. Srikanth was transferred as the IG of Organisation for Counter Terrorist Operations (OCTOPUS) as a substitute for S V Rajasekhara Babu (IPS), who shall take charge as the new SLPRB chairman.
The Director General (DG) of Vigilance and Enforcement, Kumar Viswajeet (IPS), stands transferred and posted as the Additional Director General (ADG) of Railways.
Kolli Raghuram Reddy, IG at Counter Intelligence Cell, was transferred and posted as the IG at the Vigilance and Enforcement Department.
Sarvashresth Tripathi, IG at DGP office, shall assume the office as the IG of CID. S Hari Krishna, DIG at Visakhapatnam, has been transferred as IGP (personnel) at the DGP office.
Manikanta Chandolu, who served as the additional SP at Srikakulam and Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB), stands transferred and posted as the new DCP (law and order-1) in Visakhapatnam. Chandolu replaces K Srinivas Rao, who shall assume office as the rural DCP at Vijayawada.
The rural DCP of Vijayawada, IPS Ajita Vajendla, has been mandated to assume office as the Superintendent of Police (SP) of the district, Western Godavari, substituting U Ravi Prakash.
Adnan Nayeem Asmi of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) got posted as the SP at Krishna district, substituting P Joshua, who got posted as the SP at Chittoor district.
