New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Anupam Misra, Director (Marketing) at FACT, for the post of Chairman‑cum‑Managing Director (CMD) of Hindustan Copper Limited. The recommendation came during PESB Meeting No. 20/2026 held today at 8:45 AM and is subject to approval by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
Misra is set to succeed Rajeev Ranjan, whose tenure as CMD of HCL is concluding. The leadership change comes at a crucial time as HCL continues to expand its copper production and operations across India.

- Nagesh Shenoy – Executive Director, HCL
- Umesh Singh – Executive Director (Mining), HCL Corporate Centre
- Binod Kumar Gupta – Executive Director (Mining), HCL Corporate Office, Kolkata
- Rakesh Tumane – Director (Finance), Moil Limited
- Anupam Misra – Director (Marketing), FACT
After detailed deliberations, Misra emerged as the recommended candidate, reflecting his strong credentials and experience in the industrial and mining sectors.

Misra brings over 27 years of experience in marketing, international trade, and industrial commodities. Currently serving as Director (Marketing) at FACT since July 14, 2020, his tenure has been extended multiple times, most recently in February 2026.
