Hyderabad/New Delhi: Kommisetty Murlidhar, a 2024-batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes), is set to take up a new role in the Andhra Pradesh government. He has been appointed as Additional Commissioner, Sales Tax, on deputation for a period of three years.
The Department of Revenue has issued the necessary clearances for his inter-cadre deputation. Murlidhar is expected to bring a strong tax and compliance background to the state role, aligning with Andhra Pradesh’s efforts to streamline GST and indirect tax collection.
UP PCS Officer Jay Nath Yadav Appointed to IAS, Uttar Pradesh Cadre
In another significant administrative development, Jay Nath Yadav, a serving officer from the Uttar Pradesh Provincial Civil Services (UP PCS), has been inducted into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
He has been formally allocated to the Uttar Pradesh cadre, according to a notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). His elevation comes through promotion under the State Civil Services quota, a process that recognizes experienced and meritorious state officers for central service roles.
