ARCI and Raghu Vamsi Machine Tools Join Hands for Advanced Additive Manufacturing and Surface Engineering R&D

Hyderabad: In a significant step toward strengthening India’s high-tech manufacturing ecosystem, the International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), an autonomous R&D institution under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Raghu Vamsi Machine Tools Pvt. Limited. The partnership aims to foster collaborative research and development in additive manufacturing and surface engineering under the Government Owned Company Operated (GOCO) model.

Bridging Research and Industrial Deployment

The MoU establishes a structured framework for cooperation between ARCI’s cutting-edge research capabilities and Raghu Vamsi’s industry-driven manufacturing expertise. The collaboration seeks to accelerate the transition of laboratory research into market-ready products, ensuring advanced materials and processes are efficiently deployed in high-performance engineering applications.

Key objectives of the partnership include:

  • Technology Demonstration: Transforming lab-scale innovations into real-world product prototypes.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Facilitating intellectual property (IP) generation and its translation into industrial applications.
  • Joint Research: Conducting applied research to address complex engineering challenges in strategic sectors.
