The Assam government has issued orders assigning additional responsibilities to three senior IAS officers. According to the order, Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad has been given additional charge of Chairman, Assam Administrative Tribunal. An IAS of 1990 batch and Assam-Meghalaya cadre, Mr. Prasad is currently serving in Environment & Forest, Soil Conservation Departments and as Director General of Assam Administrative Staff College.
Principal Secretary, Panchayat & Rural Development and Tea Tribes Welfare Departments, Dr. John Berchmans Ekka, has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Tourism Department. He is an officer of 1995 batch.
Kausar Jamil Hilaly has been given additional charge of Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment Department. An IAS of 2012 batch and Assam-Meghalaya cadre, Mr. Hilaly is Secretary, Sports and Youth Welfare Department.
