In a strong demonstration of civic responsibility and community participation, the Municipal Council Bahadurgarh conducted a large-scale cleanliness drive at a severely polluted stretch of a minor canal located along Bhagwan Parshuram Road in Bahadurgarh. The initiative was carried out under the leadership of District Municipal Commissioner (DMC) Mr. Abhinav Siwach, with active support from environmental volunteers and local citizens.
The campaign focused on one of the city’s most affected water channels, where waste and debris had accumulated significantly over time, creating both environmental and sanitation concerns.
Highly Polluted Canal Stretch Identified as Critical Clean-Up Zone
The selected stretch of the minor canal had become one of the most polluted points in the city, with visible garbage buildup and obstruction in the natural water flow. Recognizing the urgency, the Municipal Council prioritized immediate action to restore cleanliness and improve environmental conditions in the area.
Officials highlighted that such water bodies play an essential role in urban drainage and ecological balance, making their maintenance a critical civic responsibility.
