Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday officially launched the long-awaited CM Helpline 1076 at Mantralaya, Mahanadi Bhawan, by pressing a button to activate the system. On the occasion, he also unveiled the official logo of the helpline service.
The launch event was attended by cabinet ministers and senior administrative officials.
New Digital Platform for Citizen Complaints and Feedback
CM Sai said the government’s clear objective is to ensure that every citizen’s grievance is heard and resolved in a time-bound manner, while making the administration more accountable and transparent.
He said the helpline was developed after feedback received during “Sushasan Tihar”, which highlighted the need for a strong and permanent public grievance redressal system.
Citizens Can Call 1076 or Use WhatsApp for Complaints
Under the new system, residents of Chhattisgarh can:
- Register complaints via toll-free number 1076
- Submit suggestions to the government
- Share feedback on public services and schemes
- Use WhatsApp integration for easier access
The CM said this initiative will strengthen trust between citizens and the government.
42 Departments Integrated, 24×7 Monitoring System
The CM Helpline system includes:
- 42 government departments
- Around 8,000 officers connected
- 1,195 complaint categories
- 24×7 operations in three shifts
Each complaint will be assigned a unique ID for tracking status online. If a complainant is not satisfied with the resolution, the case will automatically be escalated to higher authorities for review.
Strong Monitoring and Accountability Mechanism
CM Sai said the system will be continuously monitored at multiple levels:
- Secretary-level dashboard monitoring
- Regular review by Chief Minister’s Secretariat
- Dedicated staff working in shifts
He emphasized that no complaint will be closed without proper resolution.
Platform for Public Participation in Governance
The Chief Minister said the helpline is not just a grievance system but also a platform for public participation in governance.
Citizens can share suggestions for policy improvement, which will help in better implementation of government schemes and development programs.
Digital Governance Aligned with PM Modi’s Vision
CM Sai said the initiative is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Nagrik Devo Bhava”, and reflects the state government’s commitment to strengthening digital governance.
He said the system will ensure faster resolution of issues and improve communication between citizens and the administration.
