Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai Thanks PM Modi, Highlights 12 Years of Development and Anti-Naxal Success

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has sent a detailed gratitude letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the completion of 12 years of the Central Government, praising his leadership and the Centre’s role in transforming Chhattisgarh through development, security, and welfare initiatives.

The Chief Minister said that the “decisive leadership and pro-poor policies” of PM Modi have brought historic changes in the state’s governance and growth trajectory.

Major Progress in Anti-Naxal Operations Highlighted

In his letter, CM Sai highlighted the significant success achieved in curbing Naxalism in Chhattisgarh.

He noted that coordinated efforts between the Centre and state have brought the state closer to becoming Naxal-free, with key contributions including:

  • Special Central Assistance schemes
  • Security-related expenditure support
  • Infrastructure development in affected areas
  • Modern weapons and jungle warfare training
  • Air support for security forces

He said that development and security together have helped restore public confidence in remote regions.

3,222 km Roads Built in Naxal-Affected Areas

CM Sai said that over the past 12 years, 3,222 km of roads and several major bridges have been constructed in previously inaccessible areas.

This has helped:

  • Improve connectivity in Bastar and remote regions
  • Strengthen security operations
  • Expand government service delivery
  • Accelerate development activities

Strong Financial Support From Centre Boosted State Growth

The Chief Minister highlighted increased financial assistance to Chhattisgarh under the Modi government.

He stated that the state received:

  • ₹3.46 lakh crore from central taxes
  • ₹1.43 lakh crore under various schemes
  • Additional support through GST compensation and capital investment programs

He said this has significantly strengthened the state’s financial capacity and autonomy.

Welfare Schemes Transform Rural and Urban Lives

CM Sai said central government schemes have brought major improvements in living standards across Chhattisgarh.

Key schemes include:

  • PM Awas Yojana providing pucca houses
  • PM Kisan Samman Nidhi benefiting farmers
  • PM Gram Sadak Yojana improving rural connectivity
  • Jal Jeevan Mission expanding drinking water access
  • PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana ensuring food security

He said millions of families have directly benefited from these initiatives.

Major Push for Tribal Development

The Chief Minister praised the Centre’s focus on tribal welfare through:

  • PM-JANMAN
  • Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan
  • Eklavya Model Schools
  • Forest rights recognition
  • Tribal museums and cultural initiatives

He said these efforts have brought tribal communities into the mainstream development process.

Health, Women Empowerment and Social Security Boost

CM Sai also highlighted improvements in healthcare and women empowerment, including:

  • Ayushman Bharat health insurance coverage
  • Expansion of medical colleges and hospitals
  • Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in rural areas
  • Self-help groups empowering women
  • “Lakhpati Didi” initiative promoting financial independence

He said these schemes have significantly improved healthcare access and women’s economic participation.

Industrial Growth and Infrastructure Expansion

The Chief Minister noted that reforms and central support have made Chhattisgarh a growing investment destination.

Key developments include:

  • Transparent mineral block auctions
  • Expansion of rail and road networks
  • Industrial clusters and investment projects
  • Growth in mining and manufacturing sectors

He said these initiatives have created new employment opportunities in the state.

Digital Governance and Modern Development Initiatives

CM Sai also praised the Centre’s contribution in:

  • Digital governance expansion
  • Telecom and internet connectivity in remote areas
  • Solar energy projects
  • Skill development programs
  • Tourism and sports infrastructure growth

He said these advancements are transforming governance delivery in the state.

Chhattisgarh Moves Towards Faster Development

In conclusion, CM Vishnu Deo Sai expressed gratitude on behalf of 3.5 crore people of Chhattisgarh, stating that the state has achieved major progress in security, welfare, agriculture, infrastructure, and tribal development under PM Modi’s leadership.

He expressed confidence that with continued central support, Chhattisgarh will move faster towards the goal of becoming a developed state and a leading contributor to India’s growth story.
