CM Vishnu Deo Sai Holds Village Chaupal in Nimdha, Announces Key Projects Under Sushasan Tihar 2026

Chief Minister interacts directly with villagers in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, approves nursing college, mini stadium, and community hall while reviewing welfare schemes and addressing public grievances.

Gourela-Pendra-Marwahi:  As part of Sushasan Tihar 2026, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai conducted a unique grassroots public interaction in Gram Nimdha of Marwahi block, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, where his helicopter landed directly in the village. The Chief Minister then held a public chaupal under the shade of a tree, sitting on a traditional cot (charpai) and directly engaging with villagers.

The visit focused on real-time grievance redressal, on-ground feedback of government schemes, and announcements of key development projects for the region.

CM Conducts Open Village Chaupal Under Tree Shade

In an unconventional approach to governance outreach, CM Sai interacted with villagers in an informal setting under a tree. He personally listened to public concerns related to basic amenities such as:

  • Electricity supply
  • Drinking water availability
  • Public distribution system (ration)
  • Roads and connectivity
  • Healthcare services
  • Education infrastructure
  • Housing facilities

The Chief Minister reviewed the implementation of government schemes directly with beneficiaries and officials on-site.

Direct Public Feedback and Grievance Redressal

During the interaction, villagers and beneficiaries shared their experiences with ongoing government programs. Women from “Bihan” Self-Help Groups (SHGs) also shared their inspiring journey of becoming “Lakhpati Didis,” highlighting improved financial independence through livelihood schemes.

CM Sai assured that:

  • Immediate issues would be resolved on the spot
  • Remaining complaints would be addressed in a time-bound manner
  • Administrative accountability would be strictly enforced

He also issued a strong warning to revenue officials over delays in grievance resolution, emphasizing strict action against negligence.

Major Announcements: Nursing College, Mini Stadium & Community Hall

Responding to demands raised by villagers and local representatives, including MLA Pranav Kumar Marpacci, the Chief Minister announced approval for three major development projects:

1. Nursing College

A new nursing college will be established to empower local girls and strengthen healthcare education in the region.

2. Mini Stadium

A mini stadium will be constructed to promote sports activities and nurture young athletic talent in rural areas.

3. Modern Community (Mangal) Hall

A large, modern community hall will be built to support social, cultural, and public events for all sections of society.

Focus on Electricity and Basic Infrastructure

Residents raised concerns regarding irregular electricity supply and low voltage issues. CM Sai directed officials to implement a permanent and effective solution, ensuring improved power infrastructure in the region.

He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening rural infrastructure, including housing and essential services.

Women Empowerment Through SHGs and Welfare Schemes

The Chief Minister interacted extensively with women self-help groups under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (Bihan). Women showcased local products such as:

  • Vishnu Bhog rice
  • Black rice
  • Honey
  • Papad
  • Handmade laddoos

CM Sai praised their entrepreneurial progress and encouraged them to aim beyond “lakhpati” status toward becoming “crorepati didis.”

He also highlighted the impact of the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, noting that approximately 70 lakh women across the state have benefited from recent installment transfers, supporting household expenses and education.

Promotion of Rural Economy and Local Products

During the visit, SHG women presented a basket of locally produced goods to the Chief Minister. He appreciated their contribution to strengthening the rural economy and promoting self-reliance.

CM Sai emphasized that self-help groups are becoming a key driver of rural economic transformation in Chhattisgarh.

Traditional Hospitality and Local Cuisine Experience

In a symbolic connection with rural culture, the Chief Minister also experienced traditional hospitality, tasting local food served in eco-friendly leaf plates, including:

  • Jamun
  • Koilar leafy vegetables (bhaji)
  • Bel juice
  • Mango chutney
  • Aam panna

Launch of “Aajeevika Gatha” Coffee Table Book

On the occasion, CM Sai released a coffee table book titled “Aajeevika Gatha”, documenting inspiring success stories of SHG women.

He stated that the publication represents:

  • Struggles and achievements of rural women
  • Growth of entrepreneurship in villages
  • A source of inspiration for self-reliance

CM Announces Upcoming CM Helpline System

The Chief Minister also announced the upcoming launch of a CM Helpline system, enabling citizens to register complaints via:

  • Toll-free number
  • Email
  • WhatsApp

The system aims to ensure faster grievance resolution with a structured monitoring mechanism.

The Sushasan Tihar 2026 initiative in Nimdha highlighted a governance model focused on direct citizen interaction, on-spot grievance resolution, and rural development planning. The Chief Minister’s visit reinforced the state government’s commitment to reaching the last mile and ensuring effective implementation of welfare schemes at the grassroots level.
