RVNL Awards Rs. 325.8 Million OHE Modification Project to BCPL Railway Infrastructure in Dhanbad Division

Kolkata: BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited has announced the signing of a contract for the execution of 25 KV Overhead Electrification (OHE) modification works on the Gurmura–Mahadia and Shakti Nagar sections of the Dhanbad Division under Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL).

The contract involves the design, supply (except galvanized steel structures and all types of conductors), erection, testing, and commissioning of a 2x25KV feeder line along the track, along with OHE modifications to meet the 3,000 MT loading target for the UP and DN lines of the specified sections. The total project covers 110/220 RKM/TKM and carries a project value of Rs. 325.80 million, expected to be completed over 16 months.

Chairman Highlights Optimism for Future Projects

Commenting on the order, Mr. Aparesh Nandi, Chairman of BCPL, said:

“We are pleased to inform our stakeholders about our recent order for the 25KV OHE system modification from Gurmura to Mahadia and Shakti Nagar section. We are optimistic about the pipeline of orders in the coming months and confident in continuing to serve the Indian Railway sector.”

He added that BCPL’s work contributes to connecting remote and North East regions and that there is a constant flow of railway projects, including EPC orders, laying of new lines, modifications, addition of third and fourth lines, and speed enhancements on existing tracks.
