Bengaluru: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has assigned the additional charge of Director (Marketing) to Rajnish Sharma, following the retirement of former Director (Marketing) Venkata Suresh Kumar Kaipa, who superannuated on June 30, 2026.
The appointment has been made for an initial period of three months, effective from July 1, 2026, until September 30, 2026, or until a regular incumbent is appointed, whichever is earlier.
Transition in Marketing Leadership at BEL
Rajnish Sharma, who is currently serving as Director (Bangalore Complex) at BEL, will now also oversee marketing responsibilities during the transition period.
The move has been made to ensure the smooth functioning of BEL’s marketing operations after the retirement of VSK Kaipa, as directed by the Ministry of Defence.
BEL informed the stock exchanges about the development under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
Profile of Rajnish Sharma
Rajnish Sharma is a seasoned BEL executive with over 33 years of experience in the organisation. He joined BEL in 1990 after graduating in Mechanical Engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering (1989).
Over his long career, he has worked across multiple units and strategic business divisions of BEL, gaining expertise in key defence technology areas, including:

- Secure Communication Systems
- Electronic Warfare and Avionics
- Naval Missile Systems
He has also played a key role in executing major BEL projects, including the LRSAM programme, contributing to large-scale defence system integration and delivery.
