BEL Signs MoU with Softvan Limited to Develop Indigenous Anti-Drone, Cyber Security and Cloud Solutions

Partnership aligns with Aatmanirbhar Bharat to deliver mission-critical digital governance, cyber security and anti-drone technologies

New Delhi: State-owned defence electronics major Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Softvan Limited to collaborate on advanced technology solutions, including anti-drone systems, cyber security, cloud services, and digital governance, in line with the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

The partnership aims to strengthen indigenous development of mission-critical systems by combining BEL’s system integration expertise with Softvan Limited’s digital engineering capabilities.

MoU Signing Ceremony

The MoU was signed by Mr. Prahalad P.S., General Manager (Civilian Marketing), BEL, and Mr. Pratik Kakadia, Managing Director, Softvan Limited, in the presence of Mr. Manoj Jain, Chairman and Managing Director, BEL, at New Delhi.

Focus on Cutting-Edge and Mission-Critical Technologies

Under the agreement, BEL and Softvan Limited will cooperate across a range of cutting-edge technology domains, including:

  • Cyber Security Solutions
  • Cloud Services
  • Digital Governance Platforms
  • Electronic Warfare & Analytics (EW&A)

The collaboration seeks to leverage BEL’s extensive experience in system integration and large-scale programme execution, along with Softvan Limited’s strengths in digital product engineering and cyber security.

Supporting Aatmanirbhar Bharat Vision

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing and delivering indigenous solutions for defence, civilian, and government applications. By reducing reliance on imported technologies, the initiative supports India’s national objective of self-reliance under Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
