New Delhi- Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), India’s premier public sector engineering enterprise, has been conferred with two esteemed ETGovernment PSU Leadership and Excellence Gold Awards for 2025. The company received accolades in the categories of ‘Leadership in Digital Transformation’ and ‘Empowering Indigenous Production and Technology’, underscoring its commitment to innovation and excellence in the public sector.

The company’s industry segment revenue surged to ₹2,800.96 crore, reflecting a 34% year-on-year growth.
  • PM E-Drive Scheme: BHEL has been appointed as the nodal agency for the government’s ₹2,000 crore PM E-Drive scheme, aimed at establishing 72,000 public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across India. The company is set to lead the tendering process and develop a unified digital platform for EV users, facilitating real-time slot booking, payment integration, and charger availability tracking.
