Maharatna PSU Bharat Heavy Electronics Limited (BHEL) has recently bagged a thermal project worth Rs 10,000 crore from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC). In its regulatory filing, the PSU stated that it is planning to set up a 2×800 MW Koderma Thermal Power Station Phase-II project in Jharkhand.
The project has to be completed in 52 months and the work includes the supply of equipment – boiler, turbine, generator and associated auxiliaries along with electrical and C&I, Balance of Plant packages. BHEL shall also do construction, commissioning, and civil work.
