On February 22nd, following a directive by the general administration department, as many as 17 IAS officers from the 2011 batch Bihar cadre were promoted to the special secretary rank.
The list of the promotees includes the names of the Land acquisition director, Mr. Sunil Kumar; the additional secretary of revenue and land reforms, Mr. Kishori Chaudhary; the secretary of State Election Authority, Mr. Purushottam Paswan; the additional secretary of the rural affairs department; Mr. Ujjwal Kumar Singh, tourism director; Mr. Vinay Kumar Rai, the DM of Lakhisarai, Mr. Rajni Kant, and the OSD of the Bihar governor, Mr. Sanjay Kumar.
The additional secretary of the water resources department, Mr. Shashank Shekhar Sinha; the Secretary of the State Election Commission, Mr. Mukesh Kumar Sinha; the additional secretary of PHED, Mr. Nirmal Kumar; the additional secretary of Forest, environment and climate change, Mr. Dhirendra Paswan; the additional secretary of the rural development department, Mr. Arvind Mandal; the municipal commissioner of Madhubani Mr. Anil Chaudhary; the settlement officer of Saharsa, Mr. Vishwanath Chaudhary, and Madhepura settlement officer, Mr. Brajesh Kumar, had their designations upgraded.
