Patna: Under the Chief Minister Pratigya Scheme, 11 selected interns have started contributing to the Labour Resources and Migrant Workers Welfare Department. The initiative aims to provide practical work experience to youth while aligning with their academic qualifications.
Six Internship Programs with 17 Vacancies
The department had published six internship programs on its portal, offering a total of 17 vacancies. Out of the selected candidates, 11 interns have joined the department, covering the following roles:
- Social Media Associate: 2 interns
- Legal and Policy Associate: 3 interns
- Labour Welfare Associate: 3 interns
- Finance and Accounts Associate: 3 interns

Practical Experience for Youth
During the induction, Labour Commissioner of Bihar, Rajesh Bharti, emphasized that the Chief Minister Pratigya Scheme is a significant step toward providing youth with practical exposure to administrative work. He highlighted that the program connects young professionals with the state’s administrative processes, preparing them for future careers.
Stipend and Benefits for Interns
The scheme offers stipends based on educational qualifications:
- Class 12 pass: ₹4,000 per month
- ITI/Diploma: ₹5,000 per month
- Graduate/Postgraduate: ₹6,000 per month
Additionally, interns working outside their home districts in Bihar receive ₹2,000 per month for the first three months. Those interning outside Bihar are provided an extra allowance of ₹5,000 per month for the entire duration.
