Patna: Bihar will organise Job Placement-cum-Vocational Guidance Fairs 2026 across seven districts in the first week of September, offering employment opportunities to candidates with technical and non-technical qualifications.
The initiative, led by the Directorate of Planning and Training under the Youth, Employment and Skill Development Department, aims to connect eligible youth directly with private-sector employers while also providing career guidance based on their skills and qualifications.
The employment drive comes as the state government works towards its stated target of providing one crore jobs and employment opportunities.
Job Fairs Across Seven Districts
The district-level fairs will take place between September 1 and 5, with all events scheduled from 10:30 AM to 4 PM.
- September 1: Jamui and Kishanganj
- September 2: Madhepura
- September 3: Lakhisarai and Purnia
- September 5: Munger and Saharsa

Check District-Wise Venues
Candidates can attend the fair at the designated venue in their district:
- Jamui: Joint Labour Building, Sono
- Kishanganj: Marwari College Ground
- Madhepura: Joint Labour Building, near DRCC
- Lakhisarai: KRK Plus Two High School
- Purnia: Government Polytechnic College
- Munger: Polo Ground, Fort Campus
- Saharsa: District School Campus
Registration Through Online Portal
Candidates planning to participate must register through detjob.bihar.gov.in. The department will also provide registration facilities at the respective venues.
Employers participating in the recruitment drive must register through the same portal. This will allow candidates to identify opportunities matching their educational qualifications and skills and interact directly with recruiters.
