The British Council on Thursday made an announcement about the course and said, the online course, ’Communicating with Confidence ‘, aims at enhancing the communication skills of the personnel while interacting with the public. The course will help them in interacting at interstate and international level work areas.
The course also aims to improve the cooperation of police personnel with the international tourists, if they need any assistance during their visit. It has been designed in such a manner that it will help in supporting to rising the number of international tourists visiting Kolkata city.
The course will be under 22.5 hours’ timeline and will be delivered over seven weeks through conducting bi-weekly classes.
The course was launched in the presence of City Police Commissioner Mr. Soumen Mitra and the British Council East and Northeast Director Dr. Debanjan Chakrabarti.
The British Council’s India Director Barbara Wickham and Acting British Deputy High Commissioner of Kolkata Sophie Ross were also present during the launch of course.
