Dimapur: In a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at enhancing public service efficiency, the Nagaland Government has announced the large number of transfer and posting of numerous senior officers across various departments.
The Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms issued the notification on April 15, with the changes taking effect immediately.
Key transfers and postings include the following:
- 2007 batch IAS officer Vyasan R., Home Commissioner and CEO of Nagaland, has been relieved of his duties in Social Welfare. His responsibilities will now be handled by Orenthung Lotha, NCS, promoted to Commissioner & Secretary, Social Welfare.
- 2011 batch IAS officer Temsunaro Aier, Commissioner & Secretary of IPR and Managing Director of Samagra, has been moved to the position of Development Commissioner.
- 2019 batch IAS officer Sarita Yadav, IAS, previously Joint Resident Commissioner, Nagaland House Delhi, has now been posted as Secretary, Higher & Technical Education (H&TE).
- Akunu S Meyase, IAS, Secretary of Economics & Statistics, will now serve as Secretary, Finance.
- Dr. G Hukugha Sema, IRS, has been transferred from the Tourism Department and appointed as Commissioner & Secretary, IT&C.
- Taliremba, Principal Secretary of the Finance Department, will now hold the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Tourism.
Other notable shifts include:
- John Tsulise Sangtam, NCS, Deputy Commissioner of Phek, has been appointed as Secretary of Works & Housing.
- Bendanglila, NCS, Joint Secretary of Labour & Employment, has been transferred to Joint Secretary, LM&CP.
- Several officers have been moved to key positions in School Education, Finance, Tribal Affairs, Public Health, Water Resources, and other sectors.
The reshuffle also saw numerous promotions within the NCS (Nagaland Civil Services) cadre. Officers such as Rorheu Peseyie, Sukhalu Chishi, and Imtimenla, among others, have received new assignments with additional responsibilities. Several EAC (Extra Assistant Commissioners) have also been given additional charge in various regions, including Phokungri, Seyochung, and Tseminyu.
The handing and taking over of charges for all transferred officers is scheduled to be completed on or before April 23, 2025.
