In a phenomenon feat, Kulgam district situated in South Kashmir has been declared free from Tuberculosis. The district along with TB District Anantnag bagged the gold medal.
Under the vision of making TB Free India by 2025, the feat was achieved by these districts two year ahead of the national target.
DC Kulgam, Dr Bilal M Bhat National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme staff at mini-secretariat Kulgam and also congratulated the medical team for all sustained efforts.
On behalf of both of the districts, the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag is now scheduled to attend the award ceremony on 24 March at Varanasi.
