Fake news and its circulation is increasing day by day. Recently, a fake video from Kerala went viral on social media. The video claimed that a police officer who helped women to enter Sabarimala temple was now suffering from a serious disease.
Now Kerala police has responded to this fake video and warned the culprits. IPS officer Harishankar responded and said that legal action will be taken against those who are circulating fake news through social media.
He also warned the people who are using the video with malice intention. He said, “Strong action will be taken against those spreading fake news on Facebook and YouTube. This thing came to our notice very late. Those who are circulating the fake video are spreading misunderstanding among the public.”
