1993 batch IPS officer, Ishwar Singh was on Thursday appointed as the new Vigilance Bureau Chief of Punjab. He replaces 1991-batch IPS officer B K Uppal.
An official order of the Punjab government in relation to the transfer said that B K Uppal is “hereby relieved of the charge of Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau, Punjab and is directed to report to the Department of Home Affairs & Justice, Government of Punjab for further posting.”
Since the appointment of the new Chief Minister of Punjab, Uppal has been out on leave and to replace him for that period, IPS officer Siddharth Chattopadhyaya was given an additional charge.
