The Union Public Service Commission had done DPC in October for promotion from PCS to IAS. In this, the names of 23 officers were considered, out of which orders have been issued in respect of 17. As the remaining officers were caught in some sort of investigation or the other, no order was issued in their case.
The officers who have got the benefit of one year seniority include Ram Lal Verma posted in PAC Sector Kanpur, Dr. Poonam Srivastava posted in Bhimrao Police Academy Moradabad and Anil Kumar posted in Ayodhya PAC Sector. These officers were earlier allotted the 2005 batch, which has now been changed to 2004. Now these officers have been promoted to the post of IG from January 1, 2022.
