New Delhi: The Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS), in collaboration with Aerospace Services India (ASI) and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), successfully hosted the second edition of the Medium-Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MRSAM) India Eco-System Summit at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi, on May 7, 2025.
The one-day summit brought together senior representatives from the Ministry of Defence (MoD), Indian Armed Forces, DRDO, Bharat Electronics Limited, Bharat Dynamics Limited, and top Indian defence manufacturers. The event spotlighted the collaborative efforts driving India’s air and missile defence ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on the Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make-in-India initiatives.
Presided over by senior MoD officials, the summit featured keynote addresses and panel discussions that highlighted the growing synergy between Indian and Israeli defence sectors. Sessions focused on operational readiness, indigenous capability development, and technology-driven support systems.
Key highlights included:
Panel discussions on enhancing self-reliance in missile systems.
Showcasing of AI-based service management tools like STORMS, developed by ASI.
Industry dialogue on long-term strategies for indigenous defence manufacturing.
The summit also showcased the achievements of the ASI-IAI Indian subsidiary, which plays a pivotal role in technical representation, life-cycle support, and local production of MRSAM systems — including key components like the BARAK 8 missile and Air Defence Fire Control Radar.
The event reaffirmed the commitment to building a resilient, future-ready air defence infrastructure through sustained collaboration, innovation, and capacity building.
