The central deputation tenure of Ms. Sandhya Bhullar, a 2003-batch Gujarat cadre IAS officer, serving as Joint Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), has been extended for two years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (19.03.2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the DPIIT’s proposal to extend her tenure beyond February 23, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Similarly, Ms. Anuradha Thakur, a 1994-batch Himachal Pradesh cadre IAS officer, will continue as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for another year, as her central deputation tenure has also been extended. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved her tenure extension for one year beyond March 24, 2025, i.e., up to March 24, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Ms. Thakur has been serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs since January 2022.
