On Sunday, the official order was issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) regarding the appointment to the post of Private Secretary, Union Defence Minister.
Official order states that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Mr. Alok Tiwari as Private Secretary to the Union Defence Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh. He has been appointed to the post for a period of 5 years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Mr. Alok Tiwari is a 2007 batch IAS officer from the Uttar Pradesh cadre. In the Past, Mr. Alok Tiwari had served as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Financial Services. He also held various important positions in the State Government of Uttar Pradesh.
