New Delhi: The Central Government has announced a series of important bureaucratic decisions involving officers from the Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Railway Stores Service (IRSS). The latest orders include a one-year extension in the central deputation of IOFS officer Shreya Bhardwaj, the promotion of IPS officer Mamta Rahul as Inspector General (IG) in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and the assignment of additional charge of Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to IRSS officer Pramod Kumar Choudhary.
Shreya Bhardwaj Gets One-Year Extension in Higher Education Department
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a one-year extension in the central deputation tenure of Shreya Bhardwaj (IOFS:2012), who is serving as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Higher Education.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on July 3, 2026, her tenure under the Central Staffing Scheme has been extended for one year beyond December 25, 2026, up to December 25, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Mamta Rahul Promoted as Inspector General in CISF
Senior Rajasthan cadre IPS officer Mamta Rahul (IPS:2007) has been promoted to the rank of Inspector General (IG) in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
As per an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on July 2, 2026, she has been elevated from the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and posted as Inspector General, CISF, Mumbai.
Her promotion will remain effective for the remainder of her central deputation tenure, which is scheduled to conclude on January 26, 2028, completing a combined central deputation tenure of seven years.
Mamta Rahul joined the CISF on central deputation in 2019 as a Senior Commandant (SP-level). She was promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in March 2022 and has now been elevated to the rank of Inspector General (IG).
Pramod Kumar Choudhary Gets Additional Charge as BSNL CVO
The competent authority has also approved the proposal to assign Pramod Kumar Choudhary (IRSS:1998), currently serving as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Telecommunication Consultants India Limited (TCIL), New Delhi, the additional charge of Chief Vigilance Officer of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
According to the DoPT order issued on July 1, 2026, he will hold the additional charge for six months from the date of assuming charge, or until a regular CVO is appointed in BSNL, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The appointment is aimed at ensuring continuity in vigilance administration at BSNL until a regular incumbent is appointed.
