Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday flagged off a delegation of 68 youths from the state, who will participate in the National Unity March organized on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary. The event took place at the Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission office in Raipur.
The young participants will join the march stretching from Karmasad, Sardar Patel’s birthplace, to Kevadia, home of the Statue of Unity, showcasing India’s unity and cultural heritage.
CM Sai Highlights Sardar Patel’s Legacy
Addressing the gathering, CM Vishnu deo Sai lauded Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for his role in unifying 562 princely states and British-administered territories, laying the foundation for a united India. He emphasized that Patel’s strong will, determination, and tireless efforts were instrumental in binding the nation into one.
CM Sai also recalled his recent visit to the Bharat Parv in Kevadia, Gujarat, where he witnessed the world’s tallest statue and observed the vibrant cultural unity of India. During the event, the rich culture, diversity, and cuisine of Chhattisgarh were also showcased.

Details of the National Unity March
The Unity March, scheduled from 26 November to 6 December, will feature not only the Chhattisgarh youth delegation but also representatives from across India, including elected officials. CM Sai described their participation as a moment of pride for the state and the country.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao highlighted Sardar Patel’s unparalleled contribution to India’s cultural and geographical unity, particularly his historic work in merging the princely states, which became the foundation of India’s integrity and cohesion.
Jagdamba MLA Kiran Singh Dev addressed the youth, wishing them a bright future and offering best wishes for their participation in the National Unity March.
