Raipur: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Chhattisgarh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, has ordered the transfer of eight Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from the 2021 batch. The decision, issued by the Home Department, aims to optimize the deployment of officers across sensitive and strategic regions of the state.
Revised Postings to Strengthen Ground Policing
The reshuffle involves several young IPS officers being assigned key positions, especially in districts affected by security challenges or requiring strong administrative presence.
Udit Pushkar, formerly the City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Jagdalpur, has been appointed as Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Dantewada.
Akash Kumar Shukla, earlier posted in Raigarh, has been made ASP, STF Durg.
Rohit Kumar Shah has been moved from Surguja to take charge as ASP, Sukma.
Ravindra Kumar Meena, previously serving in Korba, is now the ASP, Bijapur.
Aman Kumar Jha, CSP Raipur, will now serve as ASP, District Bijapur.
Aakash Shrishrimal, formerly CSP, has been appointed ASP, Bhanu Pratappur.
Ajay Kumar, CSP Civil Line, Raipur, has been transferred as ASP, District Narayanpur.
Akshay Pramod Sabadra, CSP Bilaspur, will also take charge as ASP, District Narayanpur.
Strategic Posting for Sensitive Districts
The reshuffle primarily focuses on strengthening the police presence in Naxal-affected and strategically significant districts like Dantewada, Sukma, Bijapur, and Narayanpur. These changes are likely to bring in renewed energy and a modern approach to policing in these areas.
Officials believe that the deployment of young and dynamic officers will help boost operational efficiency, law enforcement, and public confidence in the administration, particularly in areas prone to security challenges.
