Bemetara: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai visited Bemetara on Sunday, participating in the Lok Mahotsav Open Panthi Dance Program at Navagarh. During the event, CM Sai honored the winners of the Panthi dance competition and inaugurated multiple development projects across the district worth Rs 165 crore.
Major Development Initiatives Announced
CM Sai announced several key initiatives for the district, including:
- Rs 40 crore for the canal enforcement and expansion project.
- Approval of Rs 5 lakh each for CC road development in 10 Gram Panchayats.
- Handover of keys to 950 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, facilitating their home entry.
- Inauguration of 44 different development projects across Bemetara.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Atal Complex in Navagarh and inspected various departmental stalls at the event venue.

Honoring Panthi Dance Winners
As part of the celebrations, CM Sai honored the winners of the Panthi dance competition, acknowledging their contribution to preserving the region’s cultural heritage.
He also performed rituals at Jaitkham in Satnam Bhawan, praying for the prosperity and well-being of the state.
Tribute to Sant Guru Ghasidas
CM Vishnu Deo Sai paid homage to Sant Guru Ghasidas, highlighting his significant role in eradicating caste discrimination, untouchability, and social inequalities. CM Sai said,
“Sant Guru Ghasidas showed the path of truth and non-violence, binding humanity together. The teachings of Baba Guru Ghasidas continue to guide society towards peace and harmony.”
He further emphasized that the sacred land of Giraudpuri, where Baba Guru Ghasidas manifested, continues to inspire society towards unity, brotherhood, prosperity, and social welfare.

Focus on Welfare Programs
The Chief Minister highlighted the ongoing people-centric welfare initiatives in Chhattisgarh. He noted that:
- Farmers are being supported through paddy procurement schemes.
- Women’s empowerment is being promoted through the Mahtari Vandan Scheme.
- Homeless families are receiving benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
CM Sai reaffirmed the government’s commitment to implementing development and welfare schemes that improve the economic and social well-being of the people.
