Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai Inaugurates ₹40.25 Crore Development Projects in Kansabel and Dokda

CM lays foundation stones for 18 key infrastructure projects, including roads, hostels, STP, and a new hospital at Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram to boost tribal welfare and local development

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 18 development projects worth ₹40.25 crore at the annual celebration of the All India Adivasi Kanwar Samaj Development Committee in Dhudhurudand village, Kansabel block.

Project Details: Inaugurations and Foundation Stones

Out of the total projects, 9 development works worth ₹13.56 crore were inaugurated, while 9 projects costing ₹26.68 crore had their foundation stones laid. The event was attended by MLA Gomti Sai, former MP Nand Kumar Sai, former Parliamentary Secretary Bharat Sai, Zilla Panchayat member Gend Bihari Singh, and office bearers of the Kanwar community.

Key Projects Under Foundation Stone Laying

Among the newly constructed works in Patthalgaon block, CM Sai laid the foundation for several critical infrastructure projects, including:

  • ₹2.71 crore – 100-seater boys’ hostel in Amatoli village
  • ₹3.04 crore – Road from Pangsua to Darrapara
  • ₹2.35 crore – Road from Saraïtola to Barpara
  • ₹3.06 crore – Road from Palidih Basti to Lakhjhar
  • ₹6.34 crore – Road connecting Karrajor via Barpara, Dhanupura to Kadro
  • ₹2.73 crore – Road from Bandhanpur to Chhatasarai
  • ₹2.16 crore – Road from Middle School, Surajgarh to Ludeg Gauthan
  • ₹2.01 crore – Road from Tildega Atal Chowk to Amakani
  • ₹2.25 crore – Construction of an STP (Sewage Treatment Plant)

Key Projects Inaugurated

Some of the notable works inaugurated in Kansabel block include:

  • ₹2.63 crore – Road from Koranga Basti to Gyartoli
  • ₹1.07 crore – Road from Chhuritoli to Alangijhar
  • ₹1.97 crore – Road from Karanjtoli Dardip to Chakradharpur Nagar
  • ₹1.72 crore – Road from Koranga Basti to Khairwartoli
  • ₹4.28 crore – Road from Muskuti to main road
  • ₹3 crore – Road from Karanjtoli to Rajauti
  • ₹1.23 crore – Road from Ghoghra Chowk to Farsatoli main road
  • ₹10 lakh – CC Road in Naktimunda
  • ₹54.01 lakh – Sub-divisional officer (police) office building in Patthalgaon

New Hospital Building for Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram

CM Vishnu Deo Sai announced the construction of a hospital building at Dokda under the All India Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram. He emphasized that the Ashram plays a vital role in serving and protecting tribal communities.

During the program, the CM laid the foundation for 6 development works worth ₹1.75 crore, including:

  • ₹95 lakh – Hospital building at Dokda Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram
  • ₹10 lakh each – Two RCC culverts
  • ₹20 lakh each – Two community halls
  • ₹20 lakh – Construction of a welcome gate

CM Sai highlighted that the Ashram, which started in 1986 as a small hospital project, has expanded significantly with dedicated efforts of volunteers to serve the local population. The new hospital building will provide better healthcare facilities to the tribal community at the local level.

Other Announcements and Development Plans

As part of Chhattisgarh’s Rajat Jayanti year, the CM announced:

  • Construction of a Mother and Child Hospital in Farsabahar
  • Establishment of a Nursing College and a Physiotherapy College
  • Launch of the Bagia Irrigation Scheme, benefiting 14 villages directly
  • ₹2,800 crore allocated for repair and renovation of state irrigation projects to ensure adequate water supply for farmers

CM Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the government is committed to the all-round development of tribal communities, focusing not just on infrastructure but also on health, education, and cultural preservation.
