Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today handed over appointment letters to the newly selected mine inspectors of the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) at his residence office. The ceremony marks a significant step toward strengthening the state’s mineral administration and enhancing mining operations across Chhattisgarh.
CM Sai congratulated the newly appointed officers, emphasizing that the future of the state and the country depends on its youth. He stated that the appointments would strengthen the workforce of the Mineral Department and accelerate exploration and mining activities in the state.
Chhattisgarh: A Mineral-Rich State
Speaking at the event, CM Sai highlighted that Chhattisgarh is one of the richest states in India in terms of mineral resources. The state is endowed with iron ore, coal, bauxite, limestone, tin, diamond, gold, and lithium. He noted that minerals are a major source of revenue for the state, and the government is continuously working to increase mineral revenue.
The Chief Minister urged the new mine inspectors to contribute actively to enhancing mineral revenue and emphasized their responsibility to maintain transparency, honesty, and dedication in protecting and efficiently utilizing the state’s natural resources.
Appointment of 30 Mine Inspectors
The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission had released the selection list of 33 mine inspectors on October 15, 2025. Subsequently, the Department of Mineral Resources issued appointment orders for 32 inspectors on February 19, 2026. Today, CM Sai presented the appointment letters to 30 of the newly selected mine inspectors.
This induction is expected to strengthen the departmental workforce and ensure effective implementation of mining and mineral exploration initiatives across Chhattisgarh.
