CM Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated development projects worth Rs. 96 crore and performed the bhoomi pujan for additional works valued at Rs. 90 crore during a public program held at the Government Lochan Prasad Pandey College campus in Sarangarh. In total, the Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district received a significant development package worth Rs. 186 crore.

From the stage, Mr. Sai also announced additional development works worth Rs. 13.40 crore aimed at expanding public facilities across the district. Emphasizing his deep connection to the region, Mr. Sai stated that he had long served Sarangarh as a Member of Parliament, and now as Chief Minister, he is committed to accelerating the state’s development.
Fulfilling Promises Through Action
Mr. Sai affirmed that his government is diligently working to fulfill the guarantees of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. He highlighted several key accomplishments, including the purchase of 21 quintals of paddy from farmers at the rate of Rs. 3,100 per acre, the approval for construction of 18 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and the rapid pace of housing construction leading to a shortage of masons and centering plates in villages.
Mahtari Vandan Yojana Empowering Women
The Chief Minister noted that 70 lakh women across Chhattisgarh have benefited from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. He shared the inspiring story of women from Dansara village in Sarangarh district, who have initiated the construction of a Ram temple in their village using funds received from the scheme. Women across the state are now using this financial support to start small businesses and become economically self-reliant.
Welfare for Labourers and Pilgrims
Further highlighting welfare initiatives, Mr. Sai announced that 5.62 lakh agricultural landless labourers are being provided Rs. 10,000 each. Under the Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana, more than 22,000 devotees have visited Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhyadham, strengthening the cultural and spiritual connection of the people with Ayodhya.
District to See Major Upgrades in Infrastructure
On this occasion, Mr. Sai announced specific development projects for Sarangarh, including:
- Rs. 5 crore for the construction of Gaurav Path from Bharat Mata Chowk to Kosir Chowk via Garh Chowk
- Rs. 1 crore for the development of a garden in Nagar Palika Sarangarh
- Rs. 3 crore for construction of a new building for the PG College in Sarangarh
- Rs. 2.5 crore for renovation of the Indoor Stadium in Sarangarh
- Rs. 1 crore for repair work at the Boys Hostel in Sarangarh
- Rs. 40 lakh for constructing rooms for patient convenience at the new district hospital
- Rs. 50 lakh for expansion of facilities at the Sarangarh Bus Stand
State Leaders Highlight Development Momentum
Revenue and District In-Charge Minister Mr. Tankaram Verma said that in the past one and a half years, the state government has made consistent efforts to fast-track development in both rural and urban areas. He expressed confidence that the newly announced projects will significantly enhance public facilities in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh.
Member of Parliament Mr. Radheshyam Rathia commended the pace of infrastructure development in the district, especially in critical areas like roads, education, healthcare, and housing.
Jagdalpur MLA Mr. Kiran Dev emphasized that under the leadership of Mr. Sai, the implementation of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s public welfare schemes is being translated into ground realities, giving new momentum to the state’s development.
Public Representatives and Officials Attend Ceremony
Chhattisgarh Housing Board Chairman Mr. Anurag Singhdev, along with other public representatives, senior officers, and dignitaries, were present at the event, which drew wide public participation and appreciation.
