Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday praised the GST 2.0 reforms as a historic economic transformation that has directly benefited the common people of India. He was addressing a gathering at the “Dhanyawad Modi Ji” programme, held at the Medical College Auditorium in Raipur, organised by the Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Raipur Division.
The Chief Minister said that the reduction in GST rates has brought visible relief to everyday lives, especially among homemakers and farmers. “When I recently met families at a local mart, they shared how their kitchen budgets had reduced significantly due to price drops in daily essentials,” said CM Sai. “Farmers too are seeing benefits — tractor prices have come down by ₹65,000 to ₹1 lakh.”
GST Reforms: Empowering the People, Boosting the Economy
Describing the GST 2.0 reforms as a bold and visionary move by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Sai said these changes are part of a series of transformative decisions taken under the PM’s leadership. “Whether it was abrogation of Article 370 or abolition of Triple Talaq, these were steps once considered impossible, yet they have empowered people across the country,” he added.
Echoing the CM’s sentiments, Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal said, “The GST reforms are strengthening the national economy while reducing the burden on the common man. Lower prices of essential items are being widely appreciated.”
