In a major relief to government employees, the Chhattisgarh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, has approved a two percent increase in dearness allowance (DA). With this decision, the officers and employees of the state will now receive 55 percent DA, equal to that of the Central Government.

The Chief Minister highlighted that over 3 lakh government employees will benefit from this move, which will directly enhance their financial stability. He added that this increment comes at an important time ahead of the festive season, ensuring parity between state and central government employees.

Reforms in Gram Distribution Through PDS

The Cabinet has also taken a significant step to streamline food distribution for Antyodaya and priority category families in scheduled and MADA pocket areas. It has been decided that the two kg gram distributed monthly through the Public Distribution System (PDS) will now be procured through the NeML e-auction platform.

Beneficiaries who could not avail gram distribution from July to November 2025 will be compensated fully by December 2025. The procurement process will involve minimal transaction charges, ensuring better efficiency and transparency in the system.

Nava Raipur to Emerge as a New IT Hub

In a progressive move to strengthen the IT sector, the Cabinet has approved the allotment of 90 acres of land at concessional premium rates in Nava Raipur. This decision is aimed at attracting private investment, promoting the establishment of IT and ITeS industries, and generating large-scale employment opportunities.

The establishment of IT companies in Nava Raipur will not only create direct and indirect jobs but also accelerate urbanization and infrastructure development. The government believes this will turn Nava Raipur into a hub of technological growth, benefitting both local communities and the state’s economy.

Development-Oriented Governance

The Cabinet decisions reflect a governance model that focuses on employee welfare, efficient public distribution, and industrial development. By aligning state employee benefits with central standards, reforming food distribution mechanisms, and promoting IT-driven growth, the Chhattisgarh government under Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai is steering the state towards balanced socio-economic progress.
