Barabanki residents received a major gift on Tuesday as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 254 development projects worth ₹1,734 crore.

The grand ceremony took place in Jhansapurwa village of Fatehpur Tehsil, encompassing initiatives across crucial sectors such as roads, education, irrigation, healthcare, and industrial development.

Tributes to Ambedkar and Sardar Patel

Before the program began, the Chief Minister paid floral tributes to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s statue and offered flowers to the portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary.

CM Yogi hailed Patel as the architect of India’s unity, reminding people of his pivotal role in integrating the nation.

‘Double-Engine Government Giving New Direction to Development’

Addressing the public gathering, CM Yogi said the double-engine government—the partnership of the central and state governments—was working tirelessly to give new direction and speed to development in Uttar Pradesh.

He announced that the Mahadeva Corridor in Barabanki would be developed on the lines of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, turning it into a major spiritual and cultural destination.

‘New India’s New Uttar Pradesh’

The Chief Minister asserted that Uttar Pradesh is no longer a “Bimaru (backward)” state but has emerged as “New India’s New Uttar Pradesh.”

Highlighting rapid progress in industrial growth, he said that KD Singh Babu’s Haveli in Barabanki is being developed into a museum to celebrate local heritage and history.

Focus on Religious and Cultural Development

CM Yogi emphasized that the double-engine government is committed to developing all religious and spiritual centers in the state.

He cited the Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Ayodhya’s grand Ram Temple, Mahadeva, and Deva Sharif as examples of how the government is promoting faith-based and cultural tourism.

He also remarked that those opposing “Vande Mataram” are opposing the very idea of Bharat Mata, asserting that there is no place for such people in the country.

Prominent Leaders in Attendance

Several dignitaries were present at the event, including:

  • Minister of State Satish Chandra Sharma
  • MLAs Sakendra Pratap Verma and Dinesh Rawat
  • SC-ST Commission Chairman Baijnath Rawat
  • Former MP Upendra Rawat and former MLA Sharad Awasthi
  • Priyanka Rawat and District Panchayat Chairperson Rajrani Rawat

A large number of public representatives, party workers, and local residents also attended the program.

Infrastructure Projects to Transform Barabanki

The projects launched by CM Yogi are expected to improve infrastructure, boost the local economy, and enhance public facilities.

Key sectors include:

  • Roads and Connectivity
  • Education and Health Infrastructure
  • Irrigation Systems
  • Industrial Development

These initiatives aim to generate employment, improve public services, and strengthen the overall development framework of Barabanki district.
