Raipur: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Chhattisgarh Home Department issued orders on Wednesday transferring 8 IPS officers and 75 officers of the State Administrative Service, bringing fresh changes to key districts including Raipur, Durg, Bastar, Surguja, and Rajnandgaon.
The reshuffle is part of the state government’s ongoing strategy to improve governance, strengthen law enforcement, and optimize administrative efficiency across departments.
Key IPS Transfers Announced
According to the official order issued by the Home Department-
2022 batch IPS Ishu Agrawal has been appointed as CSP, Azad Chowk, Raipur.
IPS Dharmendra Sumant Kumar has been transferred from Rajnandgaon to Surguja.
IPS Mayank Mishra moves from Surguja to Raigarh as City Superintendent of Police, Raigarh.
IPS Harshit Mehar is transferred from Raigarh to Durg.
IPS Rahul Bansal has been shifted from Durg to Surguja.
IPS Vansal Jain has been posted from Police Headquarters to Rajnandgaon.
IPS Abhishek Chandravedti is transferred from Raipur to Dhamtari.
IPS Gagan Kumar will move from Bastar to Bilaspur.

These reassignments reflect an effort to rotate responsibilities among mid-ranking IPS officers for exposure to diverse field challenges.
75 State Administrative Service Officers Transferred
In addition to the IPS reshuffle, the General Administration Department has issued transfer orders for 75 officers from the State Administrative Service, covering roles such as Additional Collectors, Joint Collectors, Deputy Collectors, and District Panchayat CEOs.
Some notable changes include:
- Deputy Collector Rekha Chandra moved from Raigarh to Mungeli.
- Aksha Gupta transferred to Mahasamund.
- Ramesh Kumar Mor posted to Surajpur.
Women Officers Among Key Appointees
The reshuffle also highlights increasing gender representation in leadership roles. Mrs. Vaishali Jain (BAPUSE 2022) has been appointed as the City Superintendent of Police (CSP), Rajnandgaon—a notable posting for a young officer.
