Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today visited NAMTECH in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, a pioneering institute recognized for its cutting-edge approach to technical education in manufacturing, engineering, and technology.
Gujarat’s Model as Inspiration
During the visit, Chief Minister Sai praised Gujarat for setting a benchmark in innovation, self-reliance, and development, citing it as an inspiration for Chhattisgarh. He emphasized the importance of establishing similar institutions in the state to provide youth with access to modern technologies and industry-oriented training.

Tour of Advanced Facilities
The Chief Minister toured NAMTECH’s advanced laboratories, digital classrooms, and technical facilities, observing the hands-on teaching methods that allow students to gain practical experience through machine-based learning and project work. He also engaged with students to understand their academic experiences and career aspirations.
Modernization of ITI Colleges in Chhattisgarh
Highlighting upcoming reforms in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Sai announced plans to modernize the state’s ITI (Industrial Training Institute) colleges. The upgrades will focus on smart manufacturing, robotics, automation, and other emerging technologies. “Our colleges will soon be equipped with advanced machinery and digital training facilities so that students acquire real-world, work-ready skills,” he stated.
Collaboration with NAMTECH
NAMTECH administrators shared insights into Gujarat’s integrated education model, which connects multiple institutions to improve both quality and reach of technical training. They expressed willingness to collaborate with Chhattisgarh to implement a similar framework, proposing a network of specialized ITIs serving as centers of excellence.
Training 10,000 Youths Annually
Once implemented, this initiative is expected to train over 10,000 youths annually in modern industrial practices. Students will gain experiential learning in automation systems, modern machinery, and advanced engineering techniques, significantly enhancing their employability and preparing them for large-scale industrial projects nationwide.

Vision for Viksit Bharat 2047
Chief Minister Sai stressed that Chhattisgarh’s youth are central to realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. “We are preparing a generation that combines innovative thinking with modern technology — young minds who will lead both a developed Chhattisgarh and a developed India,” he said.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Subodh Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Rahul Bhagat, Secretary of Higher Education and Skill Development Mr. S. Bharathidasan, and other senior officials during the visit.
