Festival Logo: A Symbol of Chhattisgarh’s Rich Cultural and Literary Heritage
The newly unveiled logo of the Raipur Literary Festival embodies Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural and literary legacy. It prominently features the Salfi tree, which is artistically shaped in the form of the Chhattisgarh state map. This symbolizes the deep roots of the state’s civilization, culture, and literary traditions nurtured over centuries.
The Salfi tree represents age-old folklore, communal harmony, and tribal traditions, highlighting the significance of tribal literature, indigenous knowledge, and local customs in contemporary literary discourse. The inscriptions on the logo, “Adi se Anadhi tak” (“From Beginning to Infinity”), signify the timeless journey of literature from ancient creations to continuously evolving modern works. Another phrase, “Sursari sam sabke hit hoi”, portrays literature as a liberating, inclusive, and socially beneficial force, guiding communities for collective welfare.
The festival logo is thus both a cultural and artistic representation of Chhattisgarh’s literary pride, showcasing the state’s enduring literary roots, tribal heritage, social harmony, and modern creative vision. It conveys to the public that Chhattisgarh’s literary journey is vibrant, timeless, and poised for continual growth.
