The administrative landscape of Chhattisgarh has gone through some major developments. The state Government assigned new postings to two IAS officers.
This reshuffling also included Avinash Champawat and Mukesh Bansal, who have recently returned from Central Deputation in Delhi.
2005 batch IAS officer Mukesh Bansal received his new assignment, with the appointment as the Secretary of Finance and GST, as well as the Chairman of the Pension Resolution Committee. He was also given an additional responsibility of the General Administration Department. This Department was under the prior charge of Kamalpreet Singh for past four years.
While 2003 batch IAS officer Avinash Champawat has been appointed as the Secretary Revenue. He has also been entrusted with additional roles in Disaster Management and Rehabilitation.
After Mr Bansal’s appointment, Mr Ankit Anand, an IAS officer of 2006 batch, has been designated as Secretary of Commerce and Industry. He has served as Secretary of Finance for two years.
Mr Bhuvnesh Yadav, an IAS officer of 2006 batch, has been designated with revenue responsibilities.
The responsibilities of GST has been transferred from 2007 batch IAS officer Himshikhar Gupta making him solely responsible for Sports and Youth Welfare Department.
