Raipur: In a landmark initiative aimed at transforming the state’s tourism landscape, the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, in collaboration with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), announced the launch of exclusive tour packages under the Mukhyamantri Jan Paryatan Protsahan Yojana (Chief Minister’s Public Tourism Promotion Scheme). The scheme is designed to make tourism more accessible, promote local culture, and attract visitors from across India and abroad.
Tour Packages Set to Transform Travel Experience
The initiative features four meticulously curated tour packages from Raipur, catering to diverse interests:
Raipur City Tour (Day Excursion) – This tour allows visitors to explore Raipur’s iconic landmarks, including Ram Temple, Urja Park, Purkhouti Muktangan, Chhattisgarh Tribal Museum, Nandanvan Zoo, and Kaushalya Mata Temple. The package includes AC transport, bilingual guides (Hindi/English), meals, and travel insurance.
Raipur City Religious Tour (Day Excursion) – Focused on spiritual tourism, this tour covers Hanuman Temple, Maa Banjari Temple, Kaivalya Dham Jain Temple, ISKCON Temple, Mahamaya Temple, Danteshwari Mata Temple, Ram Temple, and Maa Kaushalya Mata Temple.
Raipur–Jagdalpur Circuit Tour (02 Nights / 03 Days) – Showcasing the natural beauty of Bastar, tourists will visit Chitrakote and Tirathgarh, witnessing attractions like Chitrakote Waterfalls, Kutumsar Caves, Kanger Valley National Park, and Danteshwari Temple. Accommodation in double-sharing hotels with daily meals included.
Raipur–Sirpur–Barnawapara Circuit Tour (01 Night / 02 Days) – This package blends history and wildlife, guiding tourists through ancient temples of Sirpur and the Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary, including an exciting jungle safari.

Subsidy and Eligibility Details
- A minimum group size of 10 individuals is required for each package.
- Travel facilities include: drinking water, snacks, lunch, and comprehensive travel insurance.
- Children aged 2–18 years receive 85% subsidy, while adults over 18 get 75% subsidy.
All tours start and end at Raipur Railway Station.
Government Officials Emphasize Significance
Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted the scheme as a means to take tourism to the masses and strengthen Chhattisgarh’s identity on national and international platforms. “This will not only boost economic development but also highlight the cultural, religious, and ecological heritage of the state,” he said.
Tourism Minister Mr. Rajesh Agrawal added that the initiative is expected to generate extensive local employment and ensure that the state’s natural beauty and cultural richness are accessible to all tourists.

The scheme aims to invigorate local tourism while preserving Chhattisgarh’s cultural and natural legacy. By creating curated experiences, the state hopes to attract more visitors, benefit local businesses, and significantly increase employment opportunities.
Chief Minister Sai described the initiative as a major step in establishing Chhattisgarh as a premier tourism destination. “Mukhyamantri Jan Paryatan Protsahan Yojana is a significant step toward making tourism accessible, enriching, and attractive. It will play a vital role in shaping the state’s tourism identity for the future,” he affirmed.
