Raipur, Chhattisgarh: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the closing ceremony of the National Trade Expo 2026 organized by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) at BTI Ground, Raipur. Speaking at the event, CM Sai emphasized the state’s investor-friendly environment and highlighted Chhattisgarh’s growth in agriculture, trade, and industry.
Focus on Investment and Business Growth
CM Sai noted that representatives from trade and industry are increasingly coming forward to invest in the state due to its conducive business environment. He mentioned the presentation of a ₹1.72 lakh crore budget for FY 2026-27 by Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary, highlighting that this is the third year of the current government.

- 2024-25: “Gyan” (Knowledge) focusing on the poor, youth, farmers, and women
- 2025-26: “Gati” (Momentum) to accelerate development
- 2026-27: “Sankalp” (Resolution), reflecting the state’s long-term development vision

The Chief Minister emphasized that the budget aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,” ensuring benefits across the state.

Special Focus on Bastar and Surguja Regions
CM Sai highlighted targeted initiatives for Bastar and Surguja, noting that Bastar is larger than Kerala and naturally beautiful but remained underdeveloped due to decades of Naxalism. He praised the decisive actions of state security forces and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, stating that Naxalism is now in its final stages.

CM Sai also pointed out that 44% of Chhattisgarh’s area is forested and under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, 7 crore trees have been planted, with further afforestation initiatives linked to industrial policies.
Vision for a Developed Chhattisgarh by 2047
The Chief Minister reiterated the state’s long-term goal of doubling its GSDP in five years and reaching ₹75 lakh crore by 2047, in alignment with PM Modi’s vision of a developed India. He highlighted the positive outcomes of the new industrial policy and noted that investment proposals worth ₹8 lakh crore have been received, including projects in semiconductors and artificial intelligence sectors.
CM Sai emphasized the pivotal role of traders in building a developed Chhattisgarh and congratulated CAIT for the successful organization of the National Trade Expo.
