Marking three years in office, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced a series of transformative initiatives aimed at empowering the state’s youth, ex-servicemen under Upanal, and contract workers. Speaking at a grand public event at Parade Ground, he outlined his government’s achievements and future vision while reaffirming his commitment to development and good governance.
Among the key announcements, the Chief Minister declared financial assistance for students preparing for competitive exams and graduates seeking employment. To enhance job readiness, a dedicated platform will be created, with a high-level committee overseeing skill development training.
For contract and Upanal workers, Dhami assured that a structured policy for their regular appointments will soon be introduced. Additionally, in a bid to strengthen local enterprises, government contracts worth up to ₹10 crore will now be exclusively awarded to Uttarakhand-based contractors.
Highlighting the state’s rapid progress, he noted a 13.59% increase in Gross Domestic Product and a record 4.4% drop in unemployment, placing Uttarakhand ahead of the national average. Infrastructure advancements in education, healthcare, roads, and air connectivity were also emphasized.
The Chief Minister reiterated the fulfillment of key promises, including three free gas cylinders for Antyodaya families, 30% horizontal reservation for women, and the reinstatement of the sports quota in government jobs. He also underscored significant legislative measures, such as the anti-riot, anti-conversion, and land protection laws.
On the occasion, Dhami released the development booklet 3 Years of Service, Good Governance, and Development and launched the Devbhoomi Rajat Utsav – Sankalp se Siddhi calendar along with a Content Creator Competition. With over 70% of the commitments from the 2022 vision document already fulfilled, he assured that the remaining goals would soon be realized.
