CM Mohan Yadav Inaugurates ₹3,949 Crore Development Push in Neemuch, Boosting Green Energy and Industrial Growth

Madhya Pradesh accelerates renewable energy expansion, industrial investment, and infrastructure development with major solar parks and 162 new projects in Neemuch.

Neemuch: Madhya Pradesh witnessed a major development push on Monday as Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the district and unveiled a series of large-scale infrastructure, industrial, and renewable energy projects. The visit marked a significant milestone in positioning Neemuch as an emerging hub for green energy and industrial expansion.

At a grand event held near the airstrip, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 162 development projects worth ₹3,949.84 crore, along with the distribution of benefits under various public welfare schemes.

Massive Push for Infrastructure: 162 Projects Launched

During the ceremony, the Chief Minister launched a total of 162 works, including:

  • 64 projects worth ₹1,686.54 crore (foundation stone laid)
  • 98 projects worth ₹2,263.30 crore (inaugurated)

These projects span multiple sectors including public infrastructure, urban development, education, healthcare, rural development, and energy. Officials stated that these initiatives will significantly strengthen Neemuch’s connectivity, public services, and basic infrastructure.

Neemuch Strengthens Position in Green Energy Sector

A major highlight of the visit was the inauguration of renewable energy projects worth ₹2,080 crore through a single-click mechanism.

The Chief Minister inaugurated:

  • Singoili Solar Park (500 MW capacity)
  • Shajapur Solar Park (450 MW capacity)

These projects are expected to significantly boost Madhya Pradesh’s renewable energy output. CM Yadav stated that Neemuch is rapidly emerging as a green energy hub of India, contributing to affordable and sustainable electricity production.

He also highlighted that electricity is being generated at one of the lowest tariffs in the country, approximately ₹2.14 per unit, from the Neemuch region.

Industrial Development Projects Worth ₹1,554 Crore Approved

To accelerate industrial growth in the district, the government also initiated 38 industrial projects worth ₹1,553.98 crore. These include:

  • 30 new industrial units (foundation stone laid)
  • 8 industrial units inaugurated

These projects are expected to generate approximately 3,201 direct employment opportunities, boosting local job creation and economic development.

Key investments include:

  • Dhanuka Biotech solar tempered glass manufacturing unit (~₹1,247.71 crore)
  • Babaji Industrial polyester staple fiber project
  • Vishveshwara Denim unit
  • Big C Renewable Energy projects

Industry representatives were also felicitated during the event for their contributions and investments in the region.

Multiple Government Departments Involved in Development Drive

Development works inaugurated during the event were implemented across various departments, including:

  • MSME Department
  • MPIDC
  • Public Health and Medical Education
  • Panchayat and Rural Development
  • Higher Education
  • Public Works Department (PWD)
  • Electricity Department
  • Urban Administration
  • Bridge Corporation

These initiatives aim to improve infrastructure, healthcare services, education facilities, road connectivity, and rural development in Neemuch district.

Neemuch’s Growing Identity: From Opium Hub to Green Energy Powerhouse

Addressing the public gathering, CM Mohan Yadav highlighted Neemuch’s unique historical and strategic importance. He said the district has multiple identities, including:

  • A major opium production center
  • Birthplace of CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force)
  • A leader in eye donation initiatives
  • Now emerging as a green energy powerhouse

He emphasized that Neemuch is becoming a symbol of sustainable development and industrial progress in Madhya Pradesh.

The Chief Minister also noted that the development trajectory is aligned with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for rapid infrastructure and economic growth.

Major Announcements for Farmers and Rural Development

CM Yadav made several key announcements for farmers and rural communities:

  • Plan to provide adequate day-time electricity for irrigation starting next year
  • Extension of repayment period for zero-interest agricultural loans
  • Approval of a ₹17 crore development project for Bhadwamata Temple

These measures are expected to benefit the agricultural community and strengthen rural infrastructure.

Support for Welfare Schemes and Student Initiatives

During the event, beneficiaries received assistance under various government schemes. Additionally, under the Pink Campaign initiative:

  • Female students were provided free driving licenses
  • Helmets were distributed to promote road safety awareness

This initiative aims to empower women and improve road safety among youth.
