Ranchi: Maharatna Coal PSU and subsidiary of Coal India Limited, the Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI), has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Manmukh Education Consultancy (MEC) to launch a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project focused on skill development for underprivileged youth in Ranchi district.
The MoA was signed on August 27, 2025, by Sandeep Kumar Bhagat, Nodal Officer, CSR, CMPDI, and Manoj Kumar Jha, Chairperson of MEC, in the presence of R.K. Mahapatra, General Manager (HRD/CSR), CMPDI.
Training Program to Benefit 60 Underprivileged Youth
This CSR initiative, valued at ₹23.58 lakh, aims to train 60 youth from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) as phlebotomy technicians. The six-month training program will be conducted in two batches at the accredited Manmukh Training Centre in Ranchi during the financial year 2025-26.
Focus on Transparent Selection and Placement
The selection and assessment process for the training will be transparent and merit-based, with a strong focus on achieving an 80% placement rate for successful trainees in healthcare and related sectors. This initiative aligns with CMPDI’s broader CSR goals of community empowerment, skill enhancement, and sustainable employment generation.
Contribution Towards Community Empowerment
By imparting healthcare-related vocational skills to marginalized youth, CMPDI aims to contribute significantly to the socio-economic upliftment of these communities and meet growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals.
