New Delhi: The Defence Accounts Department (DAD) has achieved 100% normalization of discrepant pension cases pertaining to the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy on the SPARSH pension platform.
The department said the achievement followed a focused special drive carried out in mission mode, involving close monitoring, detailed examination of cases and coordinated action by the concerned offices.
1.45 Lakh Air Force, Navy Cases Normalized
DAD said all 1,45,182 discrepant cases relating to the Air Force and Navy have been normalized on SPARSH (System for Pension Administration – Raksha).
The figures are:
- Indian Air Force: 1,12,638 cases — 100% normalized
- Indian Navy: 32,544 cases — 100% normalized
The department said the drive was undertaken with focused monitoring and coordinated efforts to address the discrepancies.
Army Pension Cases Near Complete Normalization
DAD has also made substantial progress in resolving discrepant pension cases pertaining to the Indian Army.
Out of 3,94,779 Army cases, 3,90,336 cases, or 98.8%, have already been normalized on SPARSH.
The department said the exercise reflects the coordinated and result-oriented efforts of DAD, particularly the Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) and Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Pension) [PCDA (Pension)], towards strengthening the SPARSH pension administration system.

The latest normalization exercise is part of DAD’s efforts to address discrepancies recorded on the SPARSH system and ensure that eligible pension cases are processed through the platform.
