Vadodara: India has achieved a major milestone in defence manufacturing as the first Made-in-India C-295 aircraft has reportedly rolled out from the Tata-Airbus Final Assembly Line (FAL) facility in Vadodara, Gujarat.
This Made-in-India C-295 aircraft is a big step forward for the country’s “Make in India” and “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” missions. The aircraft is being manufactured by Tata Advanced Systems in partnership with Airbus Defence and Space. Under a ₹21,935 crore agreement signed in 2021, India will receive 56 C-295 aircraft for the Indian Air Force.

- 16 aircraft will be delivered in fly-away condition from Spain
- 40 aircraft will be manufactured and assembled in India
- Deliveries from the Indian facility will continue until 2031
