New Delhi: Delhi is all set to make history with its first-ever International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD), scheduled from 25th to 31st March 2026. The festival aims to position the capital as a global hub for cinema, creativity, and cultural dialogue. The official logo of IFFD was unveiled at a star-studded launch event attended by Delhi’s Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra.

The festival launch saw several prominent Bollywood personalities in attendance, including:
- Arjun Kapoor
- Manoj Joshi (Padma Shri)
- Rakesh Omprakash Mehra
- Divya Dutta
- Nimrat Kaur
CM Rekha Gupta shared her personal connection to Delhi’s cinematic history, recalling the 1996 shooting of Aamir Khan’s film ‘Sarfarosh’ at Delhi University’s North Campus.

Festival Highlights
The International Film Festival of Delhi will feature:
- 125+ films from India and across the globe
- Masterclasses with leading industry professionals
- A dynamic film market fostering global cinema business opportunities
- Screenings in multiple Indian languages, including Punjabi, Gujarati, Tamil, and Telugu, across major auditoriums as well as local neighborhoods
According to Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra, over 100 countries will participate in the festival, with the review committee already beginning the evaluation of films.

Actress Nimrat Kaur highlighted the significance of such a festival, stating that Delhi played a crucial role in shaping her acting career. She emphasized that the festival will help personal and regional stories reach a global audience, promoting cultural exchange and cinematic diversity.

With this landmark initiative, Bharat Mandapam will transform into the epicenter of stories, stars, and screen brilliance for a week. The festival underscores Delhi’s growing ambition to become a key destination for international cinema, connecting artists, filmmakers, and audiences from across the world.
